COVID-19 Updates

Supporting Thanet during the pandemic

In these challenging times, we’d like to take this opportunity to reassure our clients that we have, and will keep delivering your askCAL services during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Except for a small core team, our workforce has been working remotely to prevent cross contamination for some time. We have adapted our services and our way of working to ensure we are still able to offer the same level of care using a slightly different approach to ensure we can reach more people than ever, whilst following strict COVID-19 government guidelines.

What we are doing

Staff are checked for COVID-19 symptoms every morning and we have a strict policy on what to do if we come into contact with someone with COVID-19 Symptoms or a positive test outcome. All of this has been put in place to protect you before we enter your home.

We have increased our askCAL services out in the community, ensuring people are supported within the safety of their own homes. To do this our visits have been honoured using full PPE which includes Gloves, Shield, Mask and an apron which is disposed of and changed between each and every visit. Hand sanitiser will be used before and after every visit into your home. We also carry disinfectant wipes to wipe down door handles and surfaces when we enter your home and before leaving.

We also ask COVID-19 related questions before every visit to ensure those within the households we are attending are not experiencing any symptoms. We are confident whilst working in the community, that we are able to continue protecting each other, for as long as necessary. Which is why more than ever communication is key to keeping each other safe. Please answer our COVID-19 questions as honestly as possible so we can continue working and helping others in the community.

If you have any concerns or have been impacted in a negative way owing to the pandemic please get in touch with us, so we can support you.
